Thanks to the initiative put forth by our own Genevieve Kent, on March 22nd, 2014, folk dancers were treated to the live music of the NOLA brass band Slow Danger.Slow Danger Slow Danger was in town for the annual Honk Texas weekened. Genevieve had taken it upon herself to scope the festivities looking for a band that might just play several familiar folk dance tunes. She bumped into Slow Danger and found that Genevievethey were a perfect fit for Saturday Night dancing. After some prodding and smooth talking, she was able to convince them to show up at dancing. Everyone was thrilled that they did. What a blast. Thanks Slow Danger, and thanks Genevieve.
